Ragnavik access, progression, and pack update

Ragnavik is a private Valheim server built around steady progression and a matching, approved mod profile. Here is the current setup and what shipped in the latest packs.

Joining the server

Join the Ragnavik Discord, then DM the server owner with the Steam account you will use. The request to join page has the full steps. The server uses a permitted list, not a password. If you have not been added yet, you are not banned. Valheim currently uses the same generic banned error for a missing permitted-list entry and an actual ban, so contact us on Discord if you see it. We are working on a clearer distinction in the game itself.

Install the Ragnavik client pack in a fresh mod-manager profile and launch modded. It pulls in the matching Ragnavik Server gameplay pack and the separate Ragnavik UI pack. CatosAntiCheat checks required mods and versions and rejects unapproved client plugins; a mod mismatch is reported privately to staff on Discord.

Create a character that has never played on another world before its first Ragnavik join. Runic Character Vault keeps the enrolled server copy authoritative. You can enroll more than one fresh character if you want to restart or test. The FastLink menu shows the server name without displaying its address or port.

Balance and quality of life

Epic Loot uses its Balanced template with lower loot and material drops. Epic MMO gives smaller attribute rewards and avoids experience farming far outside the intended creature level range. Portal costs are higher, reclaiming returns half the recipe, and dungeon resets are spaced out. These choices keep new areas meaningful while retaining conveniences like FastLink, the dedicated interface pack, and one-player sleep voting.

Groups, Guilds, and Professions are not part of the live pack while we check compatibility with the current Valheim version. They will only return after client and dedicated-server testing.

The world saves every five minutes. Hourly backups retain up to 48 restore points, or about two days at the normal schedule. Before a planned update that replaces the live server task, we also create and verify a separate rollback backup before restarting.

September 15 pack release

The Ragnavik client pack 1.1.11 is published. It requires Ragnavik Server 1.0.11 and Ragnavik UI 1.0.1. The server pack updates OdinHorse to 1.7.0 for its scoped sound fix. The UI patch moves the clock below the compass and spaces the armor, gold, weight, and trash controls at the inventory edge. The package website links now point to ragnavik.vercel.app.

We created and verified a separate world rollback backup before the server restart. The dedicated server then loaded OdinHorse 1.7.0 and reported its listening ready signal. The generic banned message for people who are not yet approved has not been changed in this release.

For the full joining steps, see the getting started guide. If access or a mod check fails, send the exact error and time in Discord so staff can investigate.
